Meet Monica Everett: Live Like Locals Savannah Ambassador

At Live Like Locals Savannah, we’re proud to highlight the people who embody what it truly means to live with heart, purpose, and connection. This month, we’re shining a light on Monica Everett, a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, Retirement & Financial Planner with Primerica, and dedicated community advocate who continues to serve others in powerful ways.

From Service to Stewardship

Monica’s journey began in service to her country and has grown into a lifelong mission of helping others build stability and confidence in their future. After her time in the Air Force, she found her next calling in the world of financial planning, where she has spent more than two decades empowering families to make informed, confident decisions about their finances.

Through her work with Primerica, Monica has become known for her integrity, leadership, and compassion. She is passionate about equipping individuals, especially those with little to no financial literacy, with the tools to create financial freedom and security. Her dedication to fairness and education reflects the same spirit of service that guided her military career.

Faith, Family, and Community

When Monica isn’t helping clients or volunteering, she’s spending time with her family, friends, and church community at Reborn Nation Church. Faith plays a central role in her life, shaping how she serves others and stays grounded through life’s challenges.

She enjoys traveling, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her church family at local events. Lately, she has also discovered a love for pickleball, a hobby that blends fun, fitness, and friendship.

Her involvement extends throughout Savannah, where she regularly participates in networking groups and community organizations that align with her passion for growth and giving back.

Freedom Walkers and the Salute to Service Walk

One of Monica’s most meaningful causes is veterans’ mental health, a topic close to her heart. Each year, nearly 6,200 veterans lose their lives to suicide, a number Monica knows all too well. Her advocacy is rooted in lived experience, and her strength is a testament to the power of faith and perseverance.

“For me, this cause is personal. I know the weight of that struggle because I almost became one of those numbers. By God’s grace, I’m still here. And now, I walk in gratitude, and in hope, to give back to organizations that are saving lives, restoring purpose, and standing with our veterans when they need it most.”

This year, Monica is leading a team called the Freedom Walkers for Live Like Locals’ Salute to Service Walk, an event taking place on October 18th that honors and supports veterans throughout Savannah and the Lowcountry.

The Freedom Walkers represent unity, hope, and gratitude for those who have served. Monica’s leadership shines through her ability to inspire others to walk alongside her, raising awareness and showing veterans that their community stands with them.

Join Monica’s team, the Freedom Walkers, and walk for a cause that truly matters. Register here to join her team.
