Savannah, GA – Exciting news for food lovers and families across Chatham County! Chatham County Parks & Recreation has teamed up with Live Like Locals to coordinate and promote food trucks at two of the area’s most popular parks: Tom Triplett Park in Pooler and Lake Mayer in Southside Savannah. This partnership is designed to bring more variety, flavor, and community connection to your park experience.

When & Where to Find Food Trucks

The program will roll out on a weekly basis at both parks with designated times for visitors to enjoy:

  • Tom Triplett Park (Pooler):

    • Fridays: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

    • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM – Coffee

    • Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Food Truck
  • Lake Mayer (Southside Savannah):

    • Fridays: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
    • Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM – Coffee
    • Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Food Truck

Whether you’re finishing a workweek, enjoying an early Saturday stroll, or spending the day with family, you’ll have the chance to grab a bite from local food trucks offering a variety of cuisines.

A Rotating Lineup of Food Trucks

One of the goals of this initiative is to ensure the community gets to experience a wide range of food trucks—not just the same ones every week. From BBQ and tacos to desserts and specialty eats, every visit could mean discovering a new favorite.

Food trucks interested in joining the program should contact Live Like Locals directly at theteam@livelikelocals.tv. Please note that food truck operators should not contact Chatham County Parks & Recreation about participation.

Why This Program Matters

Chatham County Parks & Recreation and Live Like Locals share a mission: to create spaces where the community can gather, connect, and enjoy local experiences. Food trucks bring people together, add vibrancy to park life, and support small business owners.

The program is set to continue as long as community support remains strong, so residents are encouraged to come out, enjoy, and spread the word. By supporting these events, you’re also supporting local entrepreneurs and helping keep these gatherings alive.
