Welcome to Author Alley
We have a dedicated space for authors at each of the Mega Markets. This is an opportunity for local authors to showcase their works and introduce their stories to thousands of potential new readers.
Scheduled Book Readings
The first 12 authors to sign up will be given a dedicated time for a live reading. The schedule will be published online and promoted on social media.
This region is brimming with exceptional talents, and we are excited to offer a platform for showcasing these talents. We hope to help some locals discover their new favorite author… bonus if they too are local.
Sign & Sell Books on the Spot
Be sure to bring plenty of books with you. Immediately following your reading, you’ll have an opportunity to connect with your audience and sign copies of your book.
For anyone who may have missed your reading, you’ll have a booth to share your works with other others who may be enjoying the stroll around the lake.
Meet the Hosts of author alley
We’re pleased to have a local publishing company, Marigold Press Books, host Author Alley. Rebekah McLeod and Emra Smith co-founded the publishing company after years of artistry and writing themselves. With five of their own books published between the two of them, they are no strangers to the publishing industry.
These ladies have spent a lifetime creating and sharing stories.
Rebekah is a freelance writer, a talented muscian and podcast host. You can read her stroy in her 2016 book, The Secret Life of a Doctor’s Wife. Most recently she published a children’s book, The Hungry Sun.
Emra is a lifetime advocate of healing through storytelling. In addition to her three books, There is Always Hope, Your Story Matters, and We Are Stronger Together, she is the founder of the International School of Story.
They will be sharing more about their journey and reading from their books inside Author Alley. Please do stop by and get to know them. We’re quite certain that they’ll make you a cup of tea and ask you to stay awhile.
