Live Like Locals is Back and Bigger Than Ever!

Many of you know that the pause in Live Like Locals Savannah’s community coverage and events was due to the fact that in April of 2020 our owner, Jose Rosa, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma. He has spent the past three years focusing on his health and cancer treatments. After countless chemo cocktails, loss and regrowth of hair, and a stem cell transplant, we’re thrilled to say that Jose is in remission and is cancer free.

Reneé LaSalle

In addition to Jose being back in the swing of things, we’re also bringing back some familiar faces. Reneé LaSalle will be joining us once again as the hostess with the mostest. You’ll see this talented personality on several video series coming up. She’ll be interviewing local leaders, some of our key community partners and sharing inspiring stories of some of our neighbors. Trust me, she’s eager to get back to sharing our Top 5 events again. Stay tuned. That’s coming back soon too!

Shena Verrett

The host of Who’s Who and What’s What, Shena Verrette will also be coming back. You’ll have to wait awhile to get the inside scoop on the WWWW but we’re excited to announce that she’s bringing back the popular series of Shena on the Streets. You’ll see her around town interviewing locals to share insights from tourists and locals alike.

Clay Hodges

Have you met Clay Hodges? He’s a recording artist and host of his own series, Phat Vegan. Clay is joining us at our live events to help curate live entertainment at our Live Like Locals Mega Pop-up and Farmer’s Market in Pooler. We’re taking over Tom Triplett Park! The entertainment zone will feature musicians, dance troops, high school bands and so much more. The artistry in this town is incredible and Clay will be featuring some of the area’s finest artists.

Kristianne Epperson

A new face to Live Like Locals Savannah is Kristianne Epperson. She’ll be joining us both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as our new Community Relations Manager. Kristianne will work to establish partnerships within the community and also serve as the Market Manager for the Farmer’s Market. She has over 20 years in the health and wellness industry and is bringing that knowledge to our team to help facilitate an environment that promotes a healthier lifestyle. She’s a great wealth of information and brings a unique dynamic to the team.

We’re thrilled to know that we’re not only back but we’re even bigger than before.

Some things will look very similar while others will change dramatically. One thing that will change is that our primary focus is our own events and partner events. We’re proud to say that we’ve partnered with Chatham County Parks and Recreation to host fun, family friendly, muli-cultural events at county parks. Join us as we take a tour around the beautiful parks in Chatham County.

One major event that will become a staple in the community is that through this collaboration, we’ll bring a Farmer’s Market to Pooler. The Farmer’s Market opens on December 10th. You can find more information about it HERE.

We certainly hope to see you around town! In the meantime, if you’d like to connect and learn how you can become involved as a sponsor, entertainer, small business vendor or farmer, please send an email to ‘theteam@livelikelocals.tv’. We’d love to hear from you!
